Beloved Austin chain Hopdoddy Burger Bar is firing up its first restaurant in Pflugerville. A rep says the gourmet burger joint has signed a lease for a new location at the Stone Hill Town Center at the intersection of TX-130 and TX-45, and it may open in late 2026.

The restaurant has not released official menu details, but the Pflugerville restaurant will undoubtedly follow Hopdoddy’s winning formula of making “better burgers” from an assortment of proteins like Angus and Kobe beef, chicken, ahi tuna, and turkey. Although the spot does sell a few melts with trendy smashed patties, the bread-and-butter is thick gourmet burgers loaded with maximalist toppings.

Hopdoddy pairs the burgers with shaved Brussels sprouts and hand-cut fries served plain or with Parmesan truffle seasoning, green chili, and hot honey with sage. A few select locations have also introduced fried chicken strips, lollipops, and sandwiches, including a Nashville hot version slathered with Alabama-style comeback sauce.

Unlike many burger joints, Hopdoddy aims for a sit-down experience with an upbeat atmosphere and a full bar. Despite the nod to hops in the name, craft beer is just a part of the equation. Its margaritas, like the Doble Fina with a black lava salt rim, have arguably become even more famous, and boozy shakes made with vodka, rum, and whiskey bring some kick to dessert.

Every location also lends support to the community. A portion of the sales from every Good Night/Good Cause burger — a fan-favorite with Tillamook cheddar, caramelized onions, jalapeños, and caffeinated barbecue sauce — goes to nonprofits ranging from the Make-A-Wish Foundation to organizations providing Hill Country flood relief.

Hopdoddy was founded in 2010 by Austin industry vets Guy Villavaso, Larry Foles, Chuck Smith, and Larry Perdido, quickly becoming one of Texas’ most recognizable chains. It has locations in eight states and two Austin suburbs, Round Rock and Cedar Park.
