Area10 Fitness is now based at Northway House in The Forum, having previously been based above a parade of shops in Dyer Street.
The appointment-only gym, which launched around five years ago, works to help customers reach their individual health and fitness goals, be they improving their performance, lifestyle or wellbeing.
“We started off in a small area, we’ve gently built up and we’ve now moved to a new, bigger facility,” head coach Luke Evans said.
“We know that we fulfil a gap in the industry where there’s not much training that’s helping individuals.”
The gym, which is kitted out with resistance training-led equipment, helps clients achieve their goals with a six-week challenge, using its knowledge to tailor the programme to the customer.
It can help people meet a target weight, achieve definition and/or muscle shape and enhance sport performance levels.
It also offers strength training and conditioning, endurance training, calisthenics and nutritional changes.
Along with diet and exercise, the facility focuses on behavioural change, which it says helps people maintain their objectives long-term.
“The community is growing at Area10 because of people getting amazing results,” Mr Evans said.
“We want the people of Cirencester to be healthier and happier through our group personal training sessions.
“We also like to make sure our gym is different from the rest, with tailored programmes and no overcrowded spaces, and it focuses on the individuals in these group personal training sessions so they can maximise their time with us.
“Our sessions are designed to avoid any anxiety and give the members knowledge on how to exercise effectively.”
Mr Evans was inspired to start Area10 after feeling that leisure centres and personal training groups were missing a trick with their offering.
“With the average gym, the person comes in and is totally overwhelmed by the whole experience,” he said.
“They might be shown once or twice what to do, but they don’t know where to progress and what’s right for them.
“Area10 was built on me realising that people need accountability, the right environment and help every step of the way.”
The gym aims to expand to other locations in the future, possibly to areas like Tetbury.
