Coronation Street spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1, which is also available on ITVX and YouTube.
Coronation Street has confirmed Brody Michaelis’ sad future after dad Mick’s rampage in the school.
The episode began with Bernie Winter trying to find Brody. Meanwhile, Kit Green went through emergency surgery – which thankfully went well for him.
At the Metcalfe house, Brody popped round to see his sisters. He tried to make out that he was fine and insisted he’d find a place for the three of them.
Tim told Brody that he’d need someone to look after him, and that in the short-term he should at least stay for dinner. However, when Brody got a text from Mick, he left.

Outside, Brody told his dad the plan to find a place near the prison so the kids could all visit him. Mick, however, had other ideas.
“You seriously think I wanna see you again after this?” he replied. “Don’t you ‘dad’ me, don’t you call me that ever again, d’you hear me? I’m not your dad, and I never was.
“You think I wanna see you? Have you come visit me? Don’t make me laugh. You, or the girls, or your mum, or any of you. Especially you, Brody. ‘Cause the others, at least they’re family. But you… you’re nothing to me.
“The only good thing to come from this, is not having you as a son anymore. You’re his. And that disgusts me. You disgust me.”

Brody obviously couldn’t see how much his dad was tearing up, and had no idea Mick had come to realise that he had to let his family go in order to give them a chance at a better life. Mick didn’t mean anything he was saying, but it had the desired outcome as Brody was left completely devastated.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Brody went to the hospital to see Kit, but entered the room just in time to hear Kit telling Bernie to “stop referring to him as my kid”.
Bernie tried to smooth things over, catching up to Brody in the car park and listened as he told her about being rejected by two dads in one day.
“We care about you, Tim and Sally an’ all,” she said, giving him a hug. “We’re not trying to replace anyone, okay? You don’t have to do this on your own, and our Kit will come round.”

Unfortunately, when the duo went back to see Kit, he hadn’t come round, telling Brody that he couldn’t “deal with this right now”.
After he stormed out, Kit cruelly told Bernie that she was only “lining Brody up as a replacement for Paul” and that she needs to stop trying to bring them together.
As we know from filming photos, Brody is set to continue acting out. Can Bernie, Tim and Sally, or even Kit, help the youngster feel loved?
