The new PureGym will open in Gastons Wood Retail Park, at 12pm on December 19.

Members will have access to the gym 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through PureGym’s low-cost, zero-contract memberships.

The gym, which covers approximately 19,400 square feet, will be equipped with hundreds of pieces of equipment.

It will also have a functional zone, free weights area, fixed resistance and cardio equipment, a fitness studio, and a cycle studio.

A women’s workout space, replete with adjustable benches, dumbbells, a sled track, and a mix of upper and lower body-focused fixed pin equipment, is also part of the facility’s offer.

PureGym Basingstoke will also offer a range of classes included in the membership price.

Certified personal trainers will be available to assist members, and a free initial exercise induction will also be provided.

The new gym will bring around 12 new jobs to the local community.

A spokesperson for PureGym said: “Following sustained demand for PureGym’s flexible, affordable offering in Hampshire, we’re delighted to be opening a brand new gym in Basingstoke.

“Our newest gym will support members to enhance their mental and physical wellbeing by providing them with around-the-clock access to first-class fitness facilities, from top-quality equipment and energising group classes to expert PT support, all included in our low-cost, no-contract memberships.”

PureGym is committed to providing a safe space for everyone to work out and has installed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in all of its gyms as part of their TrainSafe commitment.

These AEDs can be lifesaving in a critical situation.

The company is working with the British Heart Foundation to improve heart health across the nation.

Parking will be free for gym-goers, but restrictions may apply.

Parking arrangements should be checked in the car park before entering the gym, and PureGym will not be held responsible for any parking fines.
