CLINTON TWP, MI – The world’s largest Powerhouse Gym has just opened in Michigan and this place is chock-full of amenities.

The brand new, 120,000 sq. ft., two-story facility is located inside what used to be Carson’s at the Mall at Partridge Creek at 17480 Hall Rd. in Clinton Township in Macomb County.

Members will find amenities including a yoga studio, a cycle room, swimming pool, hot tub and dry sauna, full size basketball court, locker rooms, personal trainers and fitness classes.

There is also a recovery area featuring cold plunges with infrared saunas, contrast therapy, massages, salt treatments and more.

In addition, there is a kid’s zone, women’s only area and a pro shop. Detroit Medical Center will also soon be opening up on the first floor.

“The second floor is probably the largest training space you’ve ever seen. The reaction from members when they see the second floor is exciting to me,” Henry Dabish, co-owner of Powerhouse Gym, whose father and uncle started the Michigan-based company more than 50 years ago, told MLive.

Most amenities, including fitness classes, are included in the membership fee which is around $50 per month. It’s also open 24 hours a day.

“There is also a membership plus option which includes private training, towel service, the kid’s zone, tanning and some other amenities. But, overall, the gym membership includes most gym classes, yoga and most of the other amenities.”

Dabish says this Powerhouse Gym also has some equipment you might not see at other gyms, like Panatta equipment imported from Italy, as well as Life Fitness, Matrix, Freemotion, Core and Precor gear.

“And no one in the Midwest probably has this much equipment, and the variety of equipment, to choose from.”

Founded in 1974, there are now around 100 Powerhouse gyms in the U.S. with dozens more overseas.
