EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders’ Patrick Trueman is set to face a new struggle following his return home from the hospital after his attack, leaving someone feeling especially guilty.
In scenes that aired earlier this week, Patrick was attacked by Oscar Branning when the troubled teen’s plan to rob No.20 for cash ended in disaster.
After Mike told Oscar that he owes him £5,000 in order to secure his family’s safety, Oscar’s luck seemed to turn around after he stumbled on Patrick, who had just won big at the betting shop.
Oscar broke into Patrick’s home in search of the money but he was caught in the act by Patrick, who he shoved to the floor. When Patrick fell unconscious, Howie returned home and the panicked teen managed to escape the house before Howie could get a look at his face.

In yesterday’s (7 August) episode, the BBC soap confirmed the shocking outcome of the feud between Howie and Oscar after Howie worked out that Oscar was behind Patrick’s attack.
Howie secretly got Patrick’s money from Oscar and Lauren in exchange for not telling the police, and Patrick told Howie that he was worried about returning home as he feared for his safety.
In scenes that will air next week, Patrick reluctantly returns home from the hospital and is struggling with anxiety following his attack.

Howie is left feeling awful about it all when he realises how scared and anxious Patrick is feeling after the traumatic ordeal.
“On the surface, Patrick is a very lucky man, as his injuries could have been much worse,” our Walford insider says. “But the incident has also left him with mental scars that will take some time to heal.
“Howie is wracked with guilt, as he not only knows who attacked Patrick, but he also has his gambling winnings! Will he fess up?”
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
