GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Changes are coming to Wisconsin’s special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children, known as WIC.
Starting Monday, updated food packages will include $3 added to the total for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables in place of juice. There are also more protein or dairy options than eggs and milk.
Pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women will receive more whole grains, and infant foods will be made available sooner.
See the full list of changes on the Department of Health Services website (PDF format).
