Hannah said: “Being nominated by readers of The Press is incredibly humbling.
“As a community-led space, this recognition means so much because it comes directly from the people who use the hub and feel part of it.
“Being nominated last year felt like a huge win, so recognition in 2026 reinforces that the care, time and energy we pour into people is being felt.”

Marius said The Recharge Hub has grown from a small idea into a space that now supports people physically, mentally, and emotionally through all stages of their wellbeing journey.

He said: “What truly sets us apart is that we’re not just a gym.
“We’re a wellness centre and fitness facility combined.
“Alongside coached training, we offer recovery and services such as red-light therapy, compression therapy, ice baths, saunas, steam pods, yoga, soundbaths and reflective events like journaling workshops.”
The owners said the feedback they hear the most is the people feel comfortable, supported, and part of a genuine community, adding that members say wellbeing is accessible, rather than overwhelming.
“What matters most is seeing people show up regularly, feeling safe in doing so, and building sustainable habits”
Hannah said: “People value that we care just as much about how they’re feeling mentally as how they’re progressing physically.
“We’ve continued to invest heavily in out recovery and wellness facilities, expanding access to treatments on a pay-as-you-go basis.
“This has allowed more people in the local community – not just gym members – to prioritise recovery, stress management, and mental wellbeing in an affordable and welcoming environment.”

Hannah and Marcus said success for them at The Recharge Hub is measured through consistency, confidence and community.
They said what matters most is seeing people show up regularly, feeling safe in doing so, and building sustainable habits.
Marcus said: “One of our proudest achievements is seeing members who once felt intimidated by gyms now more confident, connected and supporting others – that’s when we know we’re doing something right.”
Hannah said: “A common story we see is members joining purely for fitness, then discovering the wider wellness support and community.
“People who initially came in feeling burnt out or disconnected often tell us The Recharge Hub has become their “safe space” – somewhere they can move, recover, talk and simply be themselves.
“That all-round care is exactly why we built the hub.”
