The Mobility Matters programme, funded by Active Suffolk, aims to help older adults build strength, improve flexibility and balance, and better manage long-term health conditions.

Starting Friday, September 5, at The Olive Centre, Clapham Road South, Lowestoft, the eight-week programme offers both personalised one-to-one health coaching and group exercise classes to improve mobility and confidence in daily life.

The sessions include Sit Fit from 1.30pm to 2.15pm and Sit-2-Stand Fit from 2.30pm to 3.15pm.

Both classes are described as “gentle, accessible, and suitable for all abilities.”

Eligibility for one-to-one sessions requires participants to be aged 50 or over, residents with an NR32 or NR33 postcode, and subject to health screening and individual assessment.

Helen Grimes, health coach from Age UK Norwich, said: “These free sessions are about so much more than exercise, they’re about building strength, confidence, and connections in a warm and friendly atmosphere.”

Spaces are limited.
