Chemist Warehouse has introduced Nicotinamide Mononucleotide supplements in Australia since regulators permitted the ingredient within a specified dose limit.
Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, known as NMN, has gained popularity among social media, podcasts, and influencers for its support of energy production, nervous system health, skin health, and healthy ageing.
Due to inconsistent quality and compliance across personal imports and international channels, Australians face a complex regulatory environment when seeking NMN products. As of December 10, NMN was approved as a legal ingredient in medications with specific dose limitations. This makes approved products containing it eligible for supply in Australia, provided they meet all applicable standards.
“The healthy ageing category has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with more Australians taking a proactive approach to their health and wellbeing,” said Daniel Kinder, Chemist Warehouse’s head of vitamins.
“Making NMN products accessible matters because healthy ageing should not become a premium-only intervention: affordability, trusted quality, and clear education can help broaden the understanding of NMN and its role as a widely available ingredient, rather than something limited to niche or elite consumers.”
Starting from this month, NMN products will be launched exclusively across Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide.
