Danica Patrick isn’t shy about flaunting her figure – and the former race car driver has been proving that she works hard for her killer physique.
The former IndyCar star, 43, showed off her impressive gym routine in a series of stories recently shared to Instagram.
Patrick is known for her high-intensity workouts – training at the gym more than five times a week – and showcased her impressive strength in the clips.
In the videos shared online, the former NASCAR driver demonstrated four exercises that worked her lower body and core.
She started with a glute and core exercise, using a Roman chair exercise with a weight.
Patrick extended her body forward until she was horizontal, holding the weight to her chest, which strengthened her glutes and core.
Next, she did weighted lunges with a barbell, which appeared to have 17.5lbs on each side.
Patrick then did a hyperextension exercise with a weight, that had a band around the middle for extra resistance, which works the lower back, glutes, and hamstrings by hinging at the hips.

She finished up with leg extensions on the machine, used to isolate and build the quadriceps muscles – otherwise known as the front of the thighs.
The hard workout explains why the former Formula 1 analyst has had people begging for her workout routine including in the comment section of her now-viral beach vacation picture that showed her lounging in a bikini.
The former driver, who has previously spoken about her love of ‘high-intensity workouts,’ also eats a ‘protein-rich, paleo-inspired’ diet and partakes in a ‘mental-conditioning program.’
Back in 2017, Patrick released a book – titled Pretty Intense – which gave fans the chance to follow her ’90-day program to sculpt your body, calm your mind and achieve your greatest goals.’
The book promised to get fans ‘leaner, stronger, and healthier than you’ve ever been before,’ claiming that ‘her accessible workouts hit the holy trinity of fitness: strength, endurance, and flexibility.’
The fitness enthusiast has previously opened up about her love of cooking and eating a healthy diet, opting for simple, whole foods.
‘Cooking is one of the most therapeutic things I do,’ she told 24 Hour Fitness at the time of her book’s release. ‘I primarily eat a Paleo pescatarian diet, focusing on food that’s high-density nutrition and sourced both locally and organically.’
The publication noted the race-car driver recommended eating grass-fed beef, poultry, fish and game, vegetables, fruits such as berries, melons, citrus, apples, nuts, seeds and eggs.

She previously revealed her go-to meal is premade rotisserie chicken with steamed spinach and brown rice or quinoa. Patrick added she allows herself the occasional indulgence, with trail mix, red wine, and chocolate her favorite treats.
Earlier in the month, Patrick revealed she won’t be returning to SkySports for the 2026 Formula 1 season.
‘From my first Sky Sports F1 race in Austin to my last 5 years later… I had such a blast! The Sky team was so much fun (thank you all), I saw so many amazing new race tracks and cities, and got to be part of a huge boom in F1!’ she wrote in an Instagram post.
Patrick continued, saying she called her last race in 2025, but it’s now time for her to ‘move on.’
‘I was so grateful for the opportunity and experience I was given!’ she wrote. ‘And now due to my deep exposure to F1, I will be glued to my TV for the season starting this weekend, like every other fan!’

Elsewhere, Patrick detailed how her health began to deteriorate after getting breast implants, revealing the severe physical toll it took on her only three years after her initial surgery in 2014.
Speaking in an interview with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, Patrick explained that while the symptoms started small, they eventually evolved into a total crisis.
‘Basically, I got breast implants in 2014. It was after three years that I started to notice stuff and another few years later, a disaster happened,’ she explained.
Desperate for answers, the driver consulted multiple specialists and attempted various medical protocols, but found herself trapped in a cycle of confusion.
‘I started doing every protocol, I didn’t care. I was just looking for something that worked. I was working with one doctor, then I worked with another.’
Patrick claimed that she suffered from significant weight gain, hair loss and ‘full inflammation’ that left her body on constant alert.
Despite her body failing her, the athlete continued to push herself to the limit, even attempting to train for one of the most grueling races in the world.
‘I gained weight, lost my hair, full inflammation. I was exhausted. I had no recovery. During all of this, I ran the Boston Marathon. It was a disaster.’
Patrick eventually underwent surgery to have the implants removed in 2022, joining a growing number of women speaking out about Breast Implant Illness (BII).
Since the removal, she has been a vocal advocate for transparency regarding the risks of cosmetic surgery, often sharing her journey with her followers.
