Loaforia Bakery is bringing naturally fermented sourdough, focaccia and pareve baked goods to Miami Beach, with advance orders available for pickup and delivery. The family-owned bakery specializes in bread made with a living sourdough culture, using a simple flour, water and salt recipe rather than commercial yeast.
This is an order-ahead bakery, not a walk-in shop: its storefront is still coming soon. Customers can shop online and choose a scheduled pickup or delivery date, making it worth planning ahead rather than stopping by expecting a counter full of bread.
Sourdough, Focaccia And Something Sweet
Sourdough is the main draw, with classic, petite and mini loaves on the bakery’s menu. The bakery’s menu lists a classic loaf at $10.99, a petite at $5.99 and a mini at $3.49. The smaller sizes give customers a way to try the bread without ordering a full loaf.
The focaccia selection includes salt and roasted garlic options, with full-size salt focaccia listed at $10.99 and salt with roasted garlic at $11.99. Petite versions are listed at $5.99 and $6.99, respectively. See the bakery’s menu on page two for the full price list.
Cookies round out the lineup, including chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, cinnamon-dusted and peanut butter varieties on the menu. Six chocolate chip cookies are listed at $8.99, while six double chocolate chip cookies are $9.99. The bakery’s online shop also lists cakes and savory jams, including apple honey Bundt cake, pumpkin and walnut cake, jalapeno jam and roasted pepper jam.
