Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street will air a major change in Kit (Jacob Roberts) and Brody’s (Ryan Mulvey) storyline after Kit previously rejected his son.

“Kit simply wasn’t in the right frame of mind to be a dad to Brody when they last spoke,” our Corrie insider shares.

“After time to move past his own recent trauma, Kit starts to realise how much Brody needs him. He could be a great influence on Brody if they can make it work — is this the start of Brody turning his life around?”

Following the breakdown of Brody’s relationship with Mick (Joe Layton), the troubled teen recently suffered a blow after hearing his biological father, Kit, telling Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) to “stop referring to him as my kid”.

Despite all her best efforts, Brody and Kit still struggled to connect.

In a more recent attempt to reconcile with Kit, Brody was given the cold shoulder once more, with his father telling him he couldn’t “deal with this right now” while recovering from his emergency surgery in the hospital.

After learning about Brody’s tough upbringing, Kit, wanting to help his son, skips Dev’s stag do and decides to take Brody to a match in upcoming scenes.

Elsewhere on the ITV soap, after taking Mick and Lou’s daughters into their home, Sally and Tim will be shocked to discover that Joanie has old bruises on her arm and feel duty-bound to let social services know.

Finally, an excited Todd tells Theo that the corner shop flat is up for rent, prompting George to admit to Todd that he’ll miss him when he moves out. Agreeing to join Dev on his stag do, Todd’s plans to cheer George up don’t go down well with Theo, who quickly becomes angry.
