Netflix has released new images teasing the upcoming season of Nobody Wants This, (via Deadline).

The hit rom-com series follows Joanne (Kristen Bell), the cynical and agnostic host of a sex podcast, who unexpectedly begins a romance with charming Rabbi Noah (Adam Brody).

Throughout their unconventional relationship, the pair are faced with unique challenges from their families and themselves (including getting ‘the ick’). But is love enough to bridge the gap between their vastly different worlds?

Nobody Wants This debuted on the streaming service last year and was renewed for a second instalment just one month later. In our review, we called the series “refreshing” and “highly relatable”, and the first season also went down well with viewers.

Season two will arrive on Netflix on 23 October with ten brand new episodes, as Joanne and Noah’s love story continues.

When we left the couple, they had decided to put aside their stark differences in a brave act of commitment. Joanne challenged her personal beliefs while Noah benched his professional aspirations.

And with their family finally onboard with their romance, what new obstacles will season two bring?

The new images paint a promising picture of Joanne and Noah’s future as they cuddle together in bed. Noah snoozes on Joanne’s shoulder as she smiles contentedly, watching something on her laptop.

The other images also suggest happiness on the horizon as the pair grin in their respective social situations. Laid-back Noah appears to be hanging out at a bowling alley, while Joanne plays a card game at a restaurant.

However, Joanne’s glee could be short-lived with the arrival of her middle school nemesis Abby (played by Brody’s wife Leighton Meester), who will be appearing in a guest role.

Nobody Wants This season 2 arrives on Netflix on 23 October.
