“Alfie and Stacey have successfully kept Zoe’s return from Kat since June, but they’ve become tangled in an increasingly elaborate web of lies,” our Walford insider recaps.

“A twist of fate leads teenage Tommy to the truth next week, so is the game finally up?”

Kat and Alfie confront their son about his online antics. However, Tommy’s response isn’t what they’d hoped for, and they fear that Joel has truly got his claws into their boy.

Later, while Tommy is helping Joel to wipe stolen phones, he spots his mum’s mobile that was stolen several weeks back. The curious teen snoops on her voicemail, and is gobsmacked when he stumbles across Alfie’s drunken confession about Zoe.

Back at home, while Kat is keen to lay down the law with Tommy, Alfie vows to deal with their son himself. But when the pair are alone, Tommy wastes no time in telling his dad that he’s heard the voicemail…

“Tommy knows about Zoe, and he wants answers,” our source says. “Alfie brings Stacey into the tense conversation and explains the chaotic events of the last few months. He tries to convince Tommy not to spill the beans to Kat, though he’s left wondering whether he’s done enough…”

As the week continues, Kat is getting ready for a summer barbecue event at The Vic – but Alfie and Stacey are understandably distracted.

The joyous day is derailed when Tommy witnesses Joel throwing vile insults at Amy and Lily in the café. Kat catches them in the act and drags Tommy home, where a huge argument unfolds between them.

Our insider adds: “Kat is terrified that her son has gone off the rails again and is devastated by what Tommy says during their blazing row – but then Alfie intervenes and drops a bombshell. Has he finally told Kat about Zoe? We’ll have to wait and see…”

While further details remain under wraps, Tommy later disappears from the Square. Tensions run high between the Slater clan, but Jean speaks to Kat and encourages her to bring the family together so they can search for the missing teen.

Meanwhile, viewers discover that Tommy is safe and is on a mission. Where has he gone – and why?
