Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That is coming to an end.
In an official statement released by HBO Max on Saturday, 2 August, showrunner and director Michael Patrick King confirmed the news, noting that the season three finale, which has been split into two parts, felt like “a wonderful place to stop”.
Following the announcement, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis have each responded on social media.
Penning an emotional tribute on Instagram, Parker reflected: “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.
“I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore, the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt.”

The actor concluded: “Thank you all. I love you so. I hope you love these final two episodes as much as we all do.”
Meanwhile, Nixon, who portrayed Carrie’s fiery and fiercely independent BFF, Miranda Hobbes, wrote: “I can’t believe our wild, beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over. It has been such a delight from start to finish.
“I will miss working with these people every day SO incredibly much, but know we will always be a part of each other’s lives. Get ready for a lot more carousels in the weeks to come! And don’t miss these last few episodes: surprises in store!”

Davis, revered for her long-running performance as the eternal optimist and hopeless romantic Charlotte York, also reacted, writing that she was “profoundly sad” about the show’s conclusion.
“I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever,” the actor mused.
And Just Like That airs on Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK and Max in the US.
