Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Shebz Miah has given his backing to his character Kammy Hadiq’s unexpected new romance storyline.
The ITV soap has recently announced that Kammy and Belle Dingle could soon be paired up together after a mix-up on a dating app.
When Nicola King grabs Belle’s phone and swipes right on Kammy’s profile, the charming newcomer believes he’s in with a chance.
Belle sets the record straight by telling Kammy that Nicola was responsible, but it soon becomes clear that she might be protesting too much. Is she interested in him after all?

Shebz spoke about the storyline while chatting exclusively to us at an Emmerdale photoshoot for the Inside Soap Awards 2025.
Discussing Kammy’s future, he laughed: “He’s a man in demand! Someone on the farm has taken a liking to that, I guess. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but make sure you stay tuned as the fans are going to absolutely love it.”
On Kammy and Belle, he continued: “Stay tuned because that is blossoming. Belle has been through a lot and Kammy is quite empathetic, in the sense that he understands where people are coming from and how their experiences affect them.
“Even though Kammy is a bit rough around the edges, he might be Belle’s Prince Charming, let’s wait and see…”

Shebz is nominated for Best Newcomer at the Inside Soap Awards this year. In a twist of fate, he’s in the category alongside his close friend and co-star Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis Barton.
“Honestly, I am so, so grateful. It’s an amazing feeling to be nominated for Best Newcomer alongside Bradley, who’s fantastic – one of my closest friends at Emmerdale,” he enthused.
“To be recognised for that is an honour. Originally when Kammy was introduced, he was this bad boy. But I really like to add my little spice to it and make Kammy this fun, cheeky kid.

“It’d be nice to have a mixed bag of causing chaos but also being a sweet kid.”
Asked why Emmerdale should win Best Soap, he laughed: “It’s a no-brainer, guys! It’s the best soap.
“The storylines are only going to get better. So much time has been invested and the writers and the producers are working behind the scenes to give the fans some amazing stuff. So vote Emmerdale!”
