Nuremberg, the “powerful” historical thriller starring Rami Malek and Russell Crowe, has landed a new streaming home in the UK. With a gripping real-life story and all-star cast to boot, the drama is a good watch over the weekend.
The 2025 film, from writer-director James Vanderbilt, primarily takes place in the lead-up to the Nuremberg trials of 1945 and 1946, which saw several Nazi officials charged with crimes following the conclusion of World War II.
The drama mainly follows psychiatrist Douglas Kelley’s (Malek) interactions with Hermann Göring (Crowe), a figure who was considered one of the most prominent members within the Nazi Party for over a decade.
Originally released in cinemas in November, Nuremberg is now available to stream in the UK on Sky Cinema and NOW. Both streamers require a subscription – Sky Cinema currently costs £10 a month, while NOW is currently on sale at £11.98 per month.
In addition to Malek and Crowe, the stacked cast for the historical thriller includes Leo Woodall, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Michael Shannon, Wrenn Schmidt and Richard E Grant.

After being a success at the box office with takings of $35 million, the drama – and Crowe’s performance in particular – was generally praised by critics, with Rotten Tomatoes currently reporting a solid approval rating of 72% from 188 reviews.
“Driven by a commanding performance from Russell Crowe, Nuremberg is a handsomely crafted historical drama, but its measured pacing and emotional restraint keep it from fully realizing the complexity of its subject,” reads the site’s critical consensus.
“Well-paced, expertly performed, and an urgent call to stand up to fascism, Nuremberg is a powerful, sweeping story of the attempt to bring an unthinkable evil to justice,” wrote Empire Magazine in its four-star review.

“Rami Malek and Russell Crowe lead a cast of actors doing excellent work in this large scale, old school ensemble piece,” opined The Boston Globe, while The Irish Times lauded the “polished dialogue and meticulous staging”.
The Independent also highlighted the central performances, writing: “Crowe and Malek are well cast for this kind of dance. The former is a battering ram of an onscreen presence, mixed here with an unnerving sense of comfort in his surroundings.”
Nuremberg is streaming on Sky Cinema and NOW.
