Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri made her acting debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Suri is the only child of Cruise and Holmes, who were married from 2006 until their divorce in 2012.
It seems as though she is following her parents’ acting footsteps as she appeared in an reimagined version of William Shakespeare’s comedy Midsummer Night’s Dream, titled Midsummer!, which was written by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty.
According to The Daily Mail, Suri played four characters, which included Helena, one of the four young lovers at the play’s center, a fairy called Mustardseed, a flute and a seed.

One viewer told the publication that Suri’s performance was “incredible”, adding: “She genuinely stole the show, she was excellent.”
Meanwhile, someone else said: “She threw herself into and completely stole the show. She can sing, she can dance and she is an incredible actress – all credit to her.”
The Daily Mail further claimed that Suri’s name wasn’t included in the programme, though she would be there for the production’s entire two-week run.
Recently, Suri has made headlines after reportedly dropping her father’s surname. According to The Independent, she was referred to as Suri Noelle, with Noelle being her mother’s middle name, in voter registration records.

The publication further reports that in 2024, Suri was reported as having gone by Suri Noelle since high school, with that name being listed in LaGuardia High School’s graduation pamphlet, though it is unknown whether it was official or not.
Digital Spy has reached out to Cruise and Holmes’ representatives for comment.
In 2024, Holmes had spoken proudly of her daughter’s achievements as she prepared to go to college, telling Town & Country: “Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.
“I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.”
