Meanwhile, Carla makes a devastating decision as Idris continues to scheme, and Kit pushes his family away.

1. Gary is worried about Marco

In prison, Gary notices a gash on Marco’s arm and is concerned.
Summer is upset when she and Maria arrive at the prison, only to be told that Marco won’t come out of his cell.
Gary tells Maria that he is worried Marco is getting bullied, but she begs him not to get involved.
2. Marco and Gary struggle with Ross

As Summer continues to worry about Marco, she is grateful when Ross promises to keep an eye on him.
Back at the prison, Ross tells Marco that he has put his name down for a cleaning job to keep him occupied.
Later, Ross finds Marco alone in his cell, with worrying consequences.
Gary is also left unsettled when Ross implies Maria is having an affair, but Marco implores him to ignore it.

3. Idris sabotages Carla’s plans
ITV
Idris hears Carla talking to Lisa about an important meeting at the hotel.
Carla and Michael are pleased with how the meeting is going. However, when the client heads to the bathroom, Idris stops him.
Afterwards, Idris listens as Carla tells Lisa that she is cancelling everyone’s Christmas bonus and needs to get the current order out on time to save the factory.
4. Daniel reveals some news

Daniel tells Ken he’s submitted his article to the Gazette and he is waiting to hear if they accept it.
Later, Daniel reveals to his family over lunch that the Gazette has been in touch, and they are publishing his article.
Ken is delighted, but Adam and Alya are forced to hide their guilt.
5. Christina is on a mission

Christina is consumed with anxiety about Rachel, convinced that Richie is the real villain.
Although George advises her to sit back and let the police do their job, Christina is unable to let it go.
She later shows George a letter she has written to Richie requesting a prison visit, hoping to find out what kind of man he really is.
6. Idris and Brody hatch a plan
ITV
Carla breaks the news to the staff that she is struggling to keep the factory afloat.
As Carla worries about the future, Idris meets with Brody, where he hands him a lighter and some instructions.
Following through with the plan, Brody steals Sally’s keys, before letting himself into the deserted factory – unaware he is being watched by Leanne.
As the factory alarm goes off, Sally alerts Carla and Lisa…
7. Daniel and Adam go head-to-head

Alya assures Summer that Adam is ready for Marco’s appeal.
However, when Daniel discovers Adam and Idris’ involvement in the sale of the school land, he confronts Adam, who admits he couldn’t afford to turn down the deal.
Ken and Amy are horrified to witness the pair fighting in the street, and Tyrone steps in to separate them.
When Adam reveals he is due in court, Tyrone points out that he can’t appear in a ripped suit covered in blood.
8. Marco is tormented by Ross
ITV
Alya and Summer wait anxiously at the court, but the outcome leaves Summer distraught.
Afterwards, Summer visits Marco, where she reminds him that he has Ross looking out for him.
Marco can’t bring himself to tell Summer the truth, and is later subjected to more bullying from Ross, who rips up a card Summer gave him.
When Gary realises what’s happened, he tries to stand up to Ross but gets a warning himself.
9. Brody feels guilty

Leanne is horrified by the events at the factory and confronts Idris and Brody.
Devastated, Carla tells the shocked workers that she has no option but to shut the factory because of what’s happened and will only be able to pay them one month’s wages.
As Brody’s guilt starts to get the better of him, he is horrified by Leanne and Idris’s attitude about the staff all being out of a job.
10. Kit feels suffocated by Bernie

Kit feels suffocated as Bernie fusses over him and feels even more of a burden when Lisa gives him a hamper.
His day gets even worse when he arrives home to discover Gemma and Bernie discussing the BRCA gene again.
Picking up on his struggles, Dev suggests they go for a curry, and Kit happily accepts.
11. Debbie and Ronnie have a difficult conversation

Ronnie reveals that he has a support group meeting later that day, and Debbie asks to go with him.
Afterwards, Debbie tells a heartbroken Ronnie that they need to discuss her long-term care while she is still able to make decisions.
12. Kit reaches breaking point
ITV
Kit struggles with the side effects of his treatment but ignores Lisa’s advice to go home.
He sparks further concern when he lashes out at a woman for coughing in the waiting room, which is witnessed by Kirk.
Kirk relays this back to Kit’s family, who worry about Kit exposing himself to illness while having chemo.
Later, Lisa urges Kit to take sick leave, but he is furious at the suggestion and blames Bernie.
13. Carla vows to fight for the factory

Idris shows Leanne the factory floor plans, explaining that the factory will be theirs once the money from the school land sale comes through.
However, their plans could be thwarted when Sean, Izzy and Michael join Carla in the Rovers and pledge to do whatever they can to help get the factory back up and running.
14. Sarah reaches out to Kit
ITV
Sarah sees Kit out and about and checks in with him.
As they chat, Sarah admits she still thinks about him, leaving Kit touched.
15. Gemma awaits her results
ITV
Gemma anxiously awaits the results of the BRCA gene test and is supported by Chesney.
As Gemma takes a call from the hospital, everyone waits anxiously to hear what she has been told.
16. Tyrone is forced to apologise
ITV
Chesney ignores Tyrone, who is left hurt by his cold behaviour, but Fiz thinks he deserves it.
Spotting the tension, Ross advises Tyrone to be the bigger man and apologise to Chesney.
