Former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not only known for his unprecedented goalscoring ability, but also his physique, which has allowed him to continue playing into his forties.

Although Ronaldo is no longer playing in a top-five league around the world, like he did during his prime years, the Portuguese international is still scoring goals and playing regularly.

The 41-year-old even looks set to star at the upcoming World Cup for his country, an incredible achievement for someone his age.

Manchester United legend Ronaldo has a partnership with Whoop, and they looked through his data to discover how he maintains his physique and longevity.

Whoop have revealed that Ronaldo has a biological age of just 28.9, meaning he could continue his football career to his mid-40s.

Ronaldo has a resting heart rate of 44 bpm, which provides him with a two-year reduction in his biological age.

Ronaldo also spends around 10 hours a week in Zones one to three, while also spending an hour in Zones four to five.

The 41-year-old covers, on average, 17,000 steps every single day, which helps knock another year off his age.

With rest being such a deciding factor, Ronaldo achieves a 70% sleep consistency, sleeping for just over seven hours on average every night.

When reacting to finding out his biological age, Ronaldo couldn’t believe how good it was.

“I can’t believe it’s so good. That means I’m going to be playing football for another 10 years!”

The former United forward revealed how he has to be smart with looking after his body, which has helped him continue playing at the ripe old age of 41.

“When you are younger you think you are unbreakable. When you get older, football demands a lot physically on the body. You have to manage that. You have to be smart, do things differently. I have learned from time and with my experience, and adjust year by year.”
