Healthspan has opened its doors in Winchester High Street, in the unit that was previously occupied by Fone World.
The shop sells a range of vitamins, minerals and supplements for joint, heart and digestive health, including products containing omega-3, cod liver oil, collagen, glucosamine, turmeric and probiotics.
It opened on Thursday, October 15, with a special ribbon-cutting attended by Healthspan staff and the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Jamie Scott.
Jasmine Santiago, retail marketing manager for Healthspan, said: “We’re very, very excited to be open in Winchester. This is the third store opening we’ve done in the UK. We’ve just opened our Salisbury shop in August, and our Horsham shop last week. And, now we’ve got Winchester, which we’re really excited about.

“Vitamins and minerals is our main range, and we’ve been selling them online and with a subscription through post for 30 years. There’s a lot of expertise; our products are very expertise led, that’s the difference from any of our competitors. We also have two other sections to our business, such as sports nutrition with the All-Blacks range. We’ve got a lot of sports partners, and athletes across the UK use our products. And we’ve also got our Vet Vits, which are minerals and vitamins especially designed for cats and dogs, which is a really unique product.”
Chris Fisher, COO for Healthspan, said: “We are proud to be welcomed to Winchester and have the opportunity to serve the community. We really see a lot of value in face-to-face conversations with our customers. It can be a confusing environment with the shop online, and finding the right vitamin for you and your needs, and everyone’s needs are very individuals, so we’re welcoming the opportunity to help people navigate and help their health needs.”
The Mayor, Cllr Scott, said: “It is really welcome to have a new business open in town, and especially when it is going to provide good quality health supplements to our visitors in town. We have a really great footfall in Winchester, and a fresh new business is only a good thing. So, it is very welcome indeed.”
As previously reported, Healthspan operates from the unit which previously housed Fone World.
That shop closed earlier this year after more than a decade of serving customers.
