Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard Protein Shake has been around for several years and is a great beverage version of the original icon, Gold Standard Whey Protein. The product comes in an 11oz bottle and leads the way with 24g of complete and quality protein and a lean 130 calories. It comes in three traditional tastes in Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry, which are the same three options for Optimum’s all-new drink in Protein Shake + Fiber.
Optimum Nutrition has an ultra-filtered milk at the base of its new Protein Shake + Fiber, delivering 30g of protein alongside 12 to 14g of carbohydrates, 8g of that fiber and 4g of sugar, a low 2g of fat, and calories landing right under 200 at 190. As you can see, and as per the name, the product has a good amount of fiber thanks to the inclusion of soluble corn fiber for gut health, clearly separating it from the Gold Standard Protein Shake.
Again, Optimum Nutrition keeps things pretty classic when it comes to flavors with a rich Chocolate, a sweet and creamy Strawberry, and a smooth Vanilla. The legendary brand is launching the hybrid protein and fiber beverage in packs of four, and presumably individually in stores when it gets a complete rollout. As for when that launch is happening, it sounds like it’s soon, and it’ll be easy to spot on shelves with its flavor swirl on the front.
