Hub RTP

Healthy comfort-food bowl restaurant, Little Barrow, is opening its first location at Horseshoe at Hub RTP in southwest Durham in 2027.

The dining experience, located at 3151 Elion Drive, centers on build-your-own grain bowls made with whole ingredients without seed oils, refined sugars, and gluten. Bowls will also come with various choices of sides and proteins and add-ons like sauces, desserts and drinks.

“Little Barrow was created to prove that you can have it all: bold, satisfying and substantive food served quickly, that’s also incredibly good for you,” Bruce Kramer, founder of Little Barrow, said in a press release. “We look forward to debuting this simple but transformative concept in a center of innovation and ideas like Horseshoe and all of Research Triangle Park.”

Kramer is a Durham native who founded the restaurant after his own health journey, according to the press release. Little Barrow’s 2,482-square-feet Hub RTP location is the company’s first storefront, placed across from Cheeni Indian Food Emporium.

“Little Barrow will bring a vibrant new quick-service option for lunch and dinner to RTP and the surrounding communities,” Erik Johnson, founding partner of White Point, Horseshoe’s development partner, said.

Changes to RTP

Little Barrow joins a list of other dining experiences also scheduled at Hub RTP. In November 2025, Drift Coffee + Kitchen opened their first Durham location there, The News & Observer reported. Earlier this month, the brand opened another site in Raleigh Iron Works, The N&O reported. Additionally, Katsuji Tanabe’s High Horse will open in the live, work, play center later this fall after The N&O originally reported a summer opening. In spring 2027, Prime STQ will open in the development as well, under the investment of Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin, The N&O reported.
