Bodybuilder Matt Greggo aims to become only the fourth athlete to ever hold the Classic Physique Olympia title. In a YouTube video shared on July 31, 2025, he broke down his 4,649-calorie full day of eating ahead of the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

In 2024, Greggo capped off his season with an impressive 10th-place showing at the Mr. Olympia. He went into the 2025 Arnold Classic under the radar and ultimately found himself in the first callout, battling against runner-up Logan Franklin and champion Mike Sommerfeld en route to bronze.

To secure his Olympia qualification, Greggo defeated Wesley Vissers in the 2025 Detroit Pro finals. With the biggest show of the year approaching, the Classic Physique standout offered an inside look at the nutrition plan designed by bodybuilding guru Chris Aceto.

Meal 1

50 grams of whey isolate
cream of rice (150 grams of carbs)
berries (15 grams of carbs)
40 grams almond butter

Greggo touched on his conditioning levels during his favorite meal of the day.

“Now our condition is pretty good, well, it’s not great, but it’s definitely getting better. We’re eating more than we were about two weeks ago so that’s good,” he shared. “My favorite meal of the day.”

Meal 2

200 grams of salmon
300 grams of rice
1 Pop-Tart (frosted blueberry)

Before his chest, triceps, and shoulder workout, he took down salmon, rice, and one blueberry Pop-Tart.

“A little bit late on this meal, but no problem. I’ll go to the gym after this. If Chris says eat it, I eat it. It’s as simple as that.”

Meal 3

250 grams of salmon
350 grams of rice

He replenished his body with salmon and rice post-workout; his usual choice was steak at this time, but it was unavailable.

“That’s our post-workout meal. We had a good training session. We got a lot of good energy here right now,” said Greggo.

Meal 4

250 grams of chicken
pasta (100 grams of carbs)

Greggo revealed that this is the fastest his body has ever responded to prep.

“I’m feeling very motivated. My physique is changing really quickly. I would say arguably this is the fastest my body has ever changed in prep period. I’m going to try to keep rolling with this.”

Meal 5

250 grams of chicken
350 grams of potato
barbecue sauce

Greggo finished off the day with chicken and air-fried potatoes.

“That’s how we call it a night. I put the potatoes in the air fryer, as you guys saw. That’s a cheat code for making the potatoes a lot more enjoyable. You could put them in the microwave and nuke them, but it’s just really not that good. It doesn’t taste the same.”

With Chris Bumstead announcing his retirement from the sport, the Classic Physique Olympia crown is up for grabs. Staying strict and focused, Greggo aims to fill the vacancy, but he will be tasked with facing the best in the world. The 2025 Mr. Olympia contest will take place from October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
