ITV made the official announcement today, following rumours that the former X Factor judge and pop sensation might be returning to our screens as part of the new series of the popular talent competition.

The returning music show, going into its 15th season, will welcome new hosts Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon.
The full details of this shake-up follow the divisive news that Tom Jones will not be returning to The Voice UK.
The broadcaster has issued a statement, reading: “ITV would like to thank the irreplaceable Sir Tom Jones for all his years on The Voice UK, and the countless incredible and unforgettable moments he gave the show.
“He has brought joy to audiences, and to every singer who performed for him and with him.”

It then continued: “We also thank Emma Willis, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones for their brilliant contributions, and who all brought so much dedication, expertise and energy to The Voice UK and wish them the very best of luck as they embark on their next chapters.”
While her time on The X Factor is arguably her biggest and most well-known TV role to date, Cheryl last took a talent show judging spot as a dance captain on the BBC’s The Greatest Dancer, which premiered in 2019. The format ran for two seasons, before it was revealed that it would not be returning.
The Voice UK series 15 will broadcast in 2027, meanwhile the current series is airing on Saturday nights on ITV1 and ITVX.
