In a huge loss to this highly-successful ITV series of Big Brother, one of the biggest personalities in the house was evicted last Friday night (2 October), despite desperate pleas from fans for a twist to keep both housemates in.

Johanne made an instant impression on launch night, and went on to become one of the most talked-about, celebrated, and straight-talking contestants on the show. As a result, many were sad to see her leave Big Brother.

Digital Spy caught up with Johanne for an exclusive interview chat following her exit from the show, and of course the subject soon turned to the next eviction – which sees two of her closest friends in the house, Pauline and Rob, now facing the public vote.

“It sucks,” Johanne said. “I feel like – I’m more anxious for this one than probably my own.”

Johanne has expressed repeatedly that Pauline was her number one in the house, and their bond was clear for viewers to see, but she also added: “I love Rob. He’s amazing, he was another one who was a big confidante for me, and I for him. We really held each other down. So it really just sucks.”

“I know that Rob and [Pauline] are also good friends,” the reality star added. “So that even sucks more – when you’re going up, somebody’s going to lose, you really don’t 100% win even if you survive that eviction…”

Johanne noted that Pauline has so far survived two previous evictions. “But I also know that Rob has a lot of support too,” she said, before adding that he is “such an amazing person”.

“I really feel like, even with Pauline, I feel like people haven’t seen who they are,” Johanne said. She highlighted that Rob isn’t just funny, but “has real, enlightening conversations” too.

“There’s so many different sides of him that people haven’t seen,” Johanne said. “But there’s still time in the series for both of them.”

As for the impending result and who could go home? “It could go either way, honestly, and either way, it sucks.”

When asked whether she would be attending this week’s Big Brother eviction, Johanne explained: “I thought about that, going to the eviction to be there for whoever, but no, it’s their moment. They deserve to come out there, see how iconic they are”.

“I saw Gemma Collins was rooting for Rob, and I know he’s a big Gemma Collins fan,” she said.

“And Pauline has been an instrumental part of the show’s success as well, so they definitely deserve to come out there and just have their moment,” Johanne continued. “And not get sucked up to the negative things that are going on, because it’s easy to do that especially when you’re evicted. It feels crappy, I know. But when you come out there and you see the love that you have, that supersedes it all.”

“Even the bad moments that you have in the house, you’re like, ‘Damn, had I known that this was what was on the other side of the house, the bad moments wouldn’t have been as bad, and I wouldn’t have felt as lonely’.”

“So they definitely deserve to come out there and have their moment, and take it in.”

So what’s next for Johanne now? She told us that she’s “entertaining all opportunities” at the moment, and that we should “watch this space”.

“I am excited – keep watching, it gets better, it gets better,” the iconic housemate also teased, before adding: “I’m not going anywhere any time soon, that’s for sure”.
