HYROX, the global mass-participation fitness race that’s taken over gyms and arenas worldwide, is officially making its Malaysia debut in December 2026
The Kuala Lumpur edition will be title-partnered by AirAsia, marking KL’s first-ever appearance on the HYROX global circuit and officially putting Malaysia on the international fitness racing map.

If you’ve never heard of HYROX before, think of it as a race-meets-workout experience built for everyday athletes, not just elite competitors
The format is the same everywhere in the world: eight 1km runs, each followed by eight functional workout stations that test strength, endurance, and mental grit.
It’s this accessible-but-challenging setup that’s helped HYROX explode in popularity, earning it a reputation as the gold standard of fitness racing globally.
HYROX has already made its mark in 10 cities across the Asia Pacific, attracting over 196,000 participants so far. It’s a testament to the region’s growing appetite for fitness, wellness, and experiential sports.

The KL announcement is part of a major Asia-Pacific partnership between AirAsia and HYROX
As part of this collaboration, AirAsia will also be the title partner for AirAsia HYROX Jakarta this June and HYROX Osaka this month.

AirAsia and HYROX also unveiled a special co-branded aircraft livery themed ‘Keep Moving, Keep Rising’.

Participants who register for selected HYROX races in 2026 will receive an exclusive 10% discount on AirAsia flights, making it easier to travel to key fitness hotspots like Osaka, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Incheon.
Beyond race day, AirAsia is also teaming up with selected HYROX Training Club gyms, alongside rolling out community activations and fitness-led experiences.
