Yesterday, after Sofia had a nice long afternoon nap, I dressed her in her cutest “Big Sister” dress, tried my best to fix her hair (which I’ve never been good at, including when my girls were little!), and headed to the hospital to meet her new baby brother Charlie! Paige met us there so we could both experience the happy moment.

Sofia went straight for Alex, whom she hadn’t seen for a couple of days! Then she turned her attention to the bassinet, which contained a little squeaky baby doll…

And of course, it wasn’t a baby doll at all. This baby doll moved and made expressions! Definitely unlike the baby doll she had practiced with last week! Haha.

All in all, the visit went great! I had taken snacks for Sofia in my purse, and she polished them off as well as most of Alex’s water. She played with the medical supplies, looked out the window, ran up and down the hallway, and yes…paid a little attention to her baby brother. But not a lot. She was more interested in Alex’s plastic bracelets on her wrist!

Such a sweet, sweet first meeting. I think this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship. (And a whole lot of chaotic fun.) Siblings are the best!
