Hilaria Baldwin recently revealed why she makes daily exercise a priority.
The businesswoman and yoga instructor regularly shares workouts featuring low-impact strength exercises and bodyweight movements that can easily be done at home.
‘A lot of people come to work out because they want to look a certain way, but that’s a side effect,’ she said on Instagram.
Rather than focusing on appearance, she emphasised the functional benefits of training.
‘The purpose of working out is to feel strong, independent and capable.’
She also highlighted the mental benefits of movement, explaining that exercise plays an important role in supporting her overall wellbeing.
‘I’ve learned that trying to fill the void through all of the negativity that is out there… just …makes [us] feel bad about ourselves, is debilitating and… doesn’t work,’ the co-founder of studio chain Yoga Vida explained.
Instead, regular movement helps her feel more grounded.
‘The only thing that I find that works is to connect with my body and move it every single day, even just a little bit,’ she said.
Hilaria Baldwin’s 4 exercises for full-body strength1. Bicep curl pulses
Start with a dumbbell in each hand, arms straight and palms facing forwards. Keep a slight bend in your knees and brace your core and glutes.Bend your arms, lifting the weights towards your shoulders in a slow, controlled movement.Keep your shoulders relaxed, your neck long and your spine neutral.Lower the weights until your elbows reach roughly a 90-degree angle, maintaining tension in your biceps.Continue with small, controlled pulses by lifting and lowering the weights through this shorter range of motion. As you build strength, gradually increase the range of motion by lowering the weights further while maintaining control and good form.
‘When we are lifting weights, one of the biggest mistakes is, of course, the core. Make sure you’re engaging your core,’ she reminded.
‘Don’t bring your elbows behind yourself. Bring them slightly in front of you,’ she added.
2. Fire hydrant kick into a leg raise

Start on all fours in a tabletop position, with your wrists beneath your shoulders and your knees beneath your hips. Keep your back flat and your core engaged.Lift your right leg out to the side, keeping your knee bent at 90 degrees. Think about pointing the outside of your knee towards the ceiling. You should feel the muscles on the outside of your hip working at the top of the movement. Keep your hips level and avoid rotating your torso.Pause briefly, then extend your leg straight behind you until it’s roughly parallel to the floor. Squeeze your glute without arching your lower back.Lift your straight leg slightly higher with control, then lower it back to parallel.Bend your knee to return to the fire hydrant position before repeating the movement.
Hilaria has also shared a standing variation of the fire hydrant combined with a small plié squat.
